You want a hot novel, a CP who don’t think you-so-sorry?
You want an agent, a publisher, a Maserati?
You better write, Bitch. You better write, Bitch.
You want to feel fancy? You wanna tweet fly numbers on #writeclub Friday nights?
You want to see your MC in a Spielberg movie? ABC Family series?
You better write, Bitch. You better write, Bitch.
Now get to work, Bitch.
Now get to WIP, Bitch.
Soooo, I’m revising/editing right now and I thought I could jump back and forth between that and WIP, but I haven’t been able to…yet. Maybe I will this week, maybe I won’t. I might have to wait to hit the WIP once my revision is totally done. Either way, I SWEAR I’m writing!
So, let’s get on with it. WIPMo CHECK IN! If you didn’t hit our PSEUDO SIGN UP, that’s OK. Just jump in here!

Current Word Count/Estimated Word Count for “The End” 47,759/now 60,000
Goal for this coming week: 10,000 more? I mapped out a new ending and I want to make it work
So far, this makes it easy to write: #writeclub, #WIPmo, and DST that puts the kid to sleep early
& WAAAAH (cue tiny violin) this makes it hard: house guests, job, xylophones during nap time, and that nagging suspicion that this ms is never going to be the way I want it to be

Category/Genre: YA/NA (I really need to get down to figuring this out) Psychological Thriller
Current Word Count/Estimated Word Count for “The End”: Current: 45k The End: 60k-ish
Goal for this coming week: 10k, maybe more if I’m feeling feisty.
So far, this makes it easy to write: #WIPmo, awesome support from the writing community (which is the best community of all the communities), and being head over heels in love with my characters. Seriously. I want to squishy hug them all, even the baddies, for making this WIP so much fun to write.
& WAAAAH (cue tiny violin) this makes it hard: Full time day job, dinner, bathes, homework, mommy time, ya know. Life. And I’m also almost completely pantsing this one. I whipped up an outline (of sorts) for the remaining chapters a few days ago, and have since violated said outline several times over. My Big Bad is playing major head games with my MC and I have an incognito baddie, who I’m also trying to keep tabs on while he runs amok. (Though he’s really not bad. He’s bad turned good while acting good when he started as bad. Yikes!) The ending is still up in the air since I keep changing my mind. All those usual woes I get when I approach the climax of a story.

Current WC/Goal WC: 50,250/60,000-65,000, I have five chapter left to write, however many words that takes
Goal for this week: 5,000 words at least, more if I can manage
This makes it easy: I’m excited about this story, getting support from Twitter and online friends
What makes it hard: Lack of sleep, life/mom/wife stuff that has to get done, distractions, and still not being exactly clear on how the end of this story is going to play out quite yet

Current Word Count/Estimated Word Count for “The End” See last week for same WIP #s !!
Goal for this coming week: Keep writing/editing/revising & as for WIP, if I don’t get to it, try to plot a little in my head
So far, this makes it easy to write: Knowing there are others writing too. Running away from home for a few hours on husband’s days off.
& WAAAAH (cue tiny violin) this makes it hard: Husband’s demanding job, toddler & 12 y/o need to be fed, some self doubt started creeping up this weekend, no family close by to pop in and babysit for free

Current Word Count/Estimated Word Count for “The End”: 38K. Hoping for 60-70K by the end.
Goal for this coming week: Revise two more chapters from my outline!
So far, this makes it easy to write: I’m working off a pretty detailed outline, so I know where I’m going with each chapter. Also, awesome feedback from early readers!
& WAAAAH (cue tiny violin) this makes it hard: I’m super lucky in that I work mostly from home, so I have a lot of writing time. But I do tend to get easily distracted — darn you, Twitter — so I’ve installed some site blockers to help with that.

So far, this makes it easy to write: The drive to have this thing done done DONE by the end of this month, the accountability of #WIPmo, and how much I love this story
& WAAAAH (cue tiny violin) this makes it hard: My perfectionist tendencies, the self-doubt telling me it’s not good enough, too many outside distractions!
